The Crooked Horn Inn is situated just outside Holywell on the road between Brynford and Pentre Halkyn, and was extensively refurbshed by Lisa and Steve, the current owners, in 2007.

As well as a well-stocked bar and FREE pool every Tuesday to Thursday, we also offer comfortable family dining in a relaxed atmosphere, with all meals prepared on site to order to ensure freshness.

For all you sports-fans out there the Crooked Horn boasts a 42" plasma-screen and the Sky Sports HD 'Ultimate' Pub package, giving you access to all sports channels including ESPN. We screen all major football matches, as well as events and fixtures from other sports on request.


We are also proud to be able to offer you a range of real ales from Facers Brewery in Flint, who have brought a lifetime's experience in the brewing industry to their hand-crafted products since 2003, and since 2006 have been the ONLY brewery based right here in Flintshire.


If you are the head of a group or organisation, but you struggle to find the space for your meetings then enquire about our function room, available during normal opening hours at very reasonable rates!

We are also situated just off National Cycle Route 5, and are conveniently located within easy reach of many of the footpaths that crisscross Halkyn Mountain Common making us perfectly situated to help you refuel after all that exercise - Check out our £1 lunchtime menu for unbeatable value!

If you enjoy a good sing-song we also host Welsh Singing nights on alternate Saturdays, so come along and join in - And dont worry, not all of us can sing either!
